    High-Level Tax Preparer – Irvine, CA (In-Office)

    Active CTEC + PTIN Required | Business Return Expertise Required

    Are you a seasoned Tax Preparer who can confidently handle everything from a simple W-2 return to complex business filings and amendments?

    Guardian Tax is looking for a high-level, experienced Tax Professional who knows their craft inside and out. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity - not seasonal!

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Preparing individual tax returns (W-2, 1099, Schedule C, itemized, etc.)
    • Handling amended returns (1040X and related corrections)
    • Preparing business tax returns including:
      • S-Corps (1120S)
      • C-Corps (1120)
      • Partnerships (1065)
    • Reviewing financials and ensuring accuracy & compliance
    • Communicating with clients regarding documentation and tax positions
    • Working collaboratively with our internal teams during peak season

    Requirements

    • Active California CTEC Registration
    • Valid PTIN
    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience preparing Business returns
    • Strong knowledge of federal and California tax law
    • Experience with amendments and complex filings
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Professional, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
