Position: Tax Reviewer
We’re looking for a seasoned tax professional to join our firm as a Tax Reviewer. Our ideal professional would have a desire to mentor accountants, have a team-centered mindset & exceptional communication skills. Your experience would bring years of technical expertise, sound judgment, and a reassuring presence If you are looking for a role where your insights and leadership will truly make an impact, we’d be honored to speak with you.
To have the team member become integrated into the office, we expect a minimum of 12 hours per week for this role.
Key Qualifications
15+ years of experience in public accounting or equivalent tax roles.
Strong background in reviewing a wide range of tax returns: Individual, Pass-through entities: S-Corporations & Partnerships & C-Corporations, Non-Profit & Trusts
CPA or EA designation (current or inactive) or IRS tenure required.
Expertise in current tax law, multi-entity structures, and high complexity returns.
Highly experienced in accounting concepts and tax preparation.
Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to mentor and guide others.
Responsibilities
Review a variety of tax returns prepared by accountants.
Ensure accuracy and alignment with current tax law.
Offer constructive feedback, knowledge & guidance to accountants.
Work closely with our owner on complex returns and special client projects.
Continued assistance with tax extensions and tax projections, as needed.
Mentor junior and mid-level staff in both technical areas and client relationship skills.
Occasionally prepare returns where needed, though this role is primarily focused on review and mentorship.
