This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and quickly growing Sales and Use Tax company in Alpharetta, Georgia! We are currently hiring for a entry-level Sales Tax Associate. The Sales Tax Associate is a critical member of the TaxConnex Client Activation team and provides ongoing support through individual project management of various initiatives during the onboarding process. The role will work in a matrix structure collaborating with compliance and data specialists to ensure client success. 

KEY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Manage New Compliance Client Account Set-Up Tasks and schedule
• Ensure accurate and timely communication with the Sales Tax Client Activation Manage regarding ongoing requirements for project completion
• Maintain strict schedules to meet client activation/onboarding timelines
• Set-up internal client profiles in proprietary TaxConnex systems
• Create activation documentation for initial client meetings
• Verify E-file login credentials and obtain prior period data from jurisdiction websites
• Register clients in new jurisdictions

SALES & USE TAX COMPLIANCE

• Complete sales and use tax monthly compliance for assigned Prior Period Projects (file and remit tax returns)
• Timely transmittal of accurately prepared tax returns to jurisdictions in accordance with the Client tax calendar
• Provide standard and customized report preparation
• Management of payments (debits, credits, and check) to jurisdictions
• Assist with any other Sales & Use tax projects as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or other equivalent degree plus experience is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with various departments and levels of management
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and validate client provided transactional data
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet strict activation and filing deadlines
