    Job Description

    We are looking to hire  an Editorial Assistant working on our Education list. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a thorough introduction to the process of book publishing and work on a range of books, from academic textbooks to professional books for teachers and school leaders. CLOSING DATE: SEPTEMBER 23, 2022

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

    • Preparing manuscripts for production
    • Arranging the review of new book proposals
    • Liaising with authors, series editors, and reviewers
    • Administrating contracts, reviewer payments, and gratis copies
    • Writing blurbs for books and the website
    • General administration for the list
  • Qualifications

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Excellent communication skills and have
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload
    • Energy and enthusiasm to contribute to a busy working environment
    • Ability to demonstrate sound commercial awareness and commitment to a career in publishing
    • An interest in the subject and previous publishing experience would be an advantage

    Additional Information

    This role is remote but to East Coast candidates to allow for as much overlap to work with colleagues in the UK. The role has the option to work from our Philadelphia, PA, Boca Raton, FL, or New York, NY offices in the future.
