    Job Description

    We are looking for a new Market Development Researcher to join our team, to specifically research and surface actional data to help support marketing campaign development across the Teaching & Learning market sector.

    You will conduct market and institutional research with an aim to find trends and patterns which help support targeted marketing efforts, and to ensure new opportunities are capitalized on across the changing market landscape.  You will work closely with the Higher Education Market Data Analyst to ensure research flows into the business for the analyst to build out questions which help support our developing program, with a goal of creating meaningful change.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

    • Defining and executing on projects that will deliver actionable research to the broader Faculty Academic Marketing group to help inform customer engagement and retention plans
    • Using objectives and key results framework each quarter to regularly review and refine plans
    • Using internal system data as well as external data to develop an understanding of the Higher Education competitive landscape and T&F’s position within it.  Exploring and interpreting market share research based on data which can help T&F shift the approach across the customer lifecycle.
    • Working with the Continuous Improvement team on Faculty Marketing-related Green Belt-level projects to bring workflow efficiencies for the customer lifecycle, helping to support customer success, aligned with the research conducted
    • Maintaining close working relationships with key collaborators to ensure programs are closely aligned.
    • Contributing to best practice and findings in data research, identifying key processes and codifying these as standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Carrying out ad hoc competitive research, as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven knowledge of market research, data presentation, and reporting
    • At least 1 year of practical market research project experience
    • Understanding of the Higher Education market, especially as it relates to teaching and learning
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
    • Familiarity and comfort with Salesforce, especially around reporting capabilities
    • Intermediate to sophisticated knowledge of Excel
    • Outstanding verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to take ownership of and manage multiple projects to meet the company’s strategic objectives
    • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
    • An open, collaborative approach to analysis and solution-finding
