Your goal is to make it easy for A-level talent that fits our culture to find us by implementing a brand-wide strategy, empowering each market to locally recruit the people they need to fill positions and support ongoing growth. You’ll help us identify the ideal Taziki’s employees, how to reach them, and how to retain & promote those who wish to build a career with us.

    To accomplish your goal will require a passion and understanding for restaurants, their roles, and the career paths that are possible. You'll train in our restaurant for several weeks, learning exactly what each role requires and what kinds of employees succeed in them. 

    Success in this role looks like attracting and retaining the next 200+ managers and 2000+ staff members to work in our current stores and the ones yet to open their doors. In order to be successful in this role, you need to keep communication professional but approachable and be flexible to the ever-changing trends in the Fast-Casual industry. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Consult regularly with franchise markets on their recruiting strategies, identify opportunities, and coach them to success
    • Participate in New Store Opening (NSO) calls/tasks for recruiting progress leading to opening day
    • Support market leaders in identifying/pursuing local recruitment options like culinary programs, students, immigrant communities, second-chance populations, and more
    • Develop Taziki’s Talent Matrix in conjunction with the Training Department
    • Develop & Implement Recruitment Toolkit (job descriptions, interview guides, evaluation guides)
    • Conduct training webinars for managers and franchisees to use Toolkit, hiring & interviewing best practices, and how to connect with their local recruitment opportunities
    • Establish and support recruiting brand-level partnerships with Applicant sources at local, regional, and national levels (Special needs, Refugee & Immigrant, Schools, Universities, etc)
    • Create and maintain Profiles for each Applicant source, defining their characteristics, values, and what Taziki’s has to offer them
    • Support and train the Taziki’s system on our job board platform partner, Workstream
    • Be the central point person for all Workstream feature deployment, support services, and partnership development
    • Support and refine the Tazikis.com careers page
    • Maintain working knowledge of top job boards  
    • Collaborate closely with the Admin department to have coaching skills on all hiring HR topics, including EEOC policies, interview guidelines, onboarding paperwork requirements, and more
    • Develop & produce periodic KPI report and comprehensive quarterly recruiting reports
    • Track employee count, turnover, promotions, etc.
    • Provide insights on the connection between Recruiting and Training initiatives
    • Track and document Taziki’s “Success Stories” in retention & growth for our annual September careers campaign 
    • Create and present Recruitment & Retention segments for internal TazCast webinars and meetings
    • Present on Recruitment & Retention at the annual Taziki’s conference
    • Represent Taziki’s at external Recruiting & Retention programs and opportunities
    • Schedule an experience 1x a quarter in a store (marketing blitz, shadow GM, learn/work a position)
    • Develop and expand Recruitment Toolkit on Taz Resources 
    • Develop internship scorecards with each home office department
    • Create, support, and promote staff referral & recognition program 
    • Develop and local organization charts with each market leader(s)
    • Provide CEO with company staffing stats 2 weeks before each quarterly board meeting
    • Host quarterly business review (QBR) with recruitment partners to address issues and opportunities

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
    • Must be able to travel by commercial airline
    • Must complete 200 hours of Taziki's store training
    • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of field-related experience
    • No more than 2 jobs in a 2 year period

    Your Schedule, Travel, and Abilities: Work conditions/Hours/Travel:

    • Avg 40 hr week, Monday-Friday. Hours may increase or vary based on events such as New Store Openings. May occasionally require weekend, evening, or holiday hours.
    • Some travel (20%) as required for New Store Openings, store experiences, market visits, and TazCon

    Physical/Mental Requirements:

    • Position may require sitting for an extended period of time
    • Position may require reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and must be able to lift a minimum of 35-40 pounds to chin level without injury
