About Us:

NOVA’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs) in Kinston, North Carolina offer secure residential care for children with mental illness. NOVA is one of North Carolina’s leading PRTFs.

About the Position:

• The teacher will work on site at the facility full time to provide education to the children in the program.
• Pay is $45,000-$48,000 based on experience

Requirements

About you:

• The desire to make a difference in the lives of children with behavioral and emotional challenges
• Required: Valid NC Driver’s License
• Required: Knowledge of basic computer hardware and PC Operating System
• Required: B.S. in Education or Special Education with certification and licensure OR B.S. in a related Human Service field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with children with behavioral/emotional challenges
• Preferred: Experience with at risk youth
• Preferred : Current Teaching Certification
