Seeking teachers to join the STARBASE STEM Academy located in Bedford, MA (Hanscom AFB).

STARBASE serves 5th grade students from a wide geographic area, many of whom are just discovering their confidence as learners, problem-solvers, and creators. Our instructors do more than teach, they help students believe in themselves and their ability to build, explore, and succeed.

We are looking for an educator who brings energy, leadership, creativity, and a student-centered approach to teaching. Successful instructors are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to creating an engaging classroom environment where every student feels empowered to participate and grow.

Position Highlights: • Monday–Friday schedule, generally 8:00 AM–4:00 PM • Hands-on STEM instruction with rotating student groups throughout the year • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact through project-based learning and mentorship

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with 1–3+ years of experience in elementary or STEM education • Experience or openness to engineering, robotics, mathematics, or related STEM disciplines • Massachusetts or out of state teaching license (applicants currently pursuing certification will be considered) • Ability to pass CORI and fingerprint-based national background checks required for youth programs
