Seeking an Program Instructor/Teacher to join our team in support of the DoD sponsored STARBASE STEM Learning program located at Hanscom AFB, MA. This program was developed to encourage 5th grade students, to explore STEM activities as they continue their education and plan for their future. Go to www.dodstarbase.org to learn more. You must live within commuting distance of Hanscom AFB, candidates outside of the United States will not be considered. Retired Teachers or Military Instructors that meet the qualification criteria are encouraged to apply.

Qualification Criteria: The Program Instructor shall meet the following minimum qualification criteria:

a. Bachelor’s Degree with at least three (3) years of experience in elementary education preferred

b. Resume showing recent background in physics, chemistry, aerospace science, engineering, robotics or mathematics preferred but all STEM related disciplines will be considered.

c. Have a current state educational certificate

d. Must have a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and a finger print-based national criminal history check and a Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) check and a Department of Children and Families (DCF) check to teach in Massachusetts.

STARBASE is on-site work--remote work is NOT authorized.
