Our team partners with schools to ensure Deaf and Hard of Hearing students receive high-quality, compassionate support from professionals who care deeply about their work. If you are passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and value meaningful collaboration with educators and families, we would love to connect with you. The Teacher of the Deaf will provide direct instructional services, consultation, and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This role involves collaborating with school teams to ensure students receive accessible, engaging instruction aligned with their educational goals.

    Duties

    • Provide instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
    • Collaborate with school teams, families, and service providers
    • Support language development, academic access, and communication goals
    • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
    • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
    • Help create inclusive learning environments that center student access and belonging

    Qualifications

    • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf in South Carolina (required)
    • Bachelors or Masters Degree
    • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills
    • Commitment to student-centered, accessible education
