Murwood Keyspot is a licensed childcare center located on the Murwood Elementary School campus in Walnut Creek. Our program is licensed for and serves 120 children aged 4 to 12 years old. We are looking for a playful and committed aide for our program. Applicants for this job must have experience working with children in a professional, recreational setting. Keyspot provides a comprehensive program to meet children's emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs. Our staff works together to plan and facilitate activities for all children, both indoors and outdoors.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday

Full-time: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Required Skills:

High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent

Must be able to do the following:

✓ Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

✓ Have fun and a genuine interest in sharing knowledge with others

✓ Assist teachers with implementing and supervising activities for children aged 4-12 years.

✓ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities:

Assists with maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and assuring the well-being and safety of the children in their care.

Maintains cooperative, professional relationships with other staff,

Exhibits a genuine, nurturing, caring attitude to all children.

Maintains a positive and calm attitude and encourages others to do the same. Assists with housekeeping duties as needed.

Help prepare snacks for the children.
