About the Role:

Join Kidtastic Kids Preschool as a Teaching Assistant where you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs. The Teaching Assistant works collaboratively with the Special Education Teacher and/or General Education Teacher to implement instructional activities, support student learning, and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.and play a vital role in shaping young minds! We are seeking passionate individuals to support our educational programs in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.

Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Help maintain classroom organization and manage student behaviour.

Prepare instructional materials and resources for daily lessons.

Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.

Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom discussions.

Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Assist in the planning and execution of special events and projects.

Communicate observations and concerns to the classroom teacher and supervisory staff

Follow all program policies, confidentiality requirements, and licensing regulations

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education preferred.

NYS Teaching Assistant Certification

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for education.

Basic knowledge of child development and learning styles.

Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required.

Flexible schedule to accommodate various teaching needs.
