ESTIMATOR - COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

TEAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY – We are a thriving Commercial General Contractor / Design Builder / Construction Manager firm that began in 1947. Currently, we are looking for experienced Estimators for our Houston office. Position is Full-time and annual salaried.                                                                                                                                                                     

JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:                                                                       

• General Contractor complete project estimates
• Estimating and Bidding process of new and remodel projects         
• Document Take-Offs for trade quantities, unit price estimates                                             
• Procurement of Subcontractors/ relationships/ phone communications/ trade estimates        
• Effectively communicate between Project Team
• Business Development/ Project Selling
• Preconstruction Services
• ITB – Online experience with SmartBid or IsqFT

JOB REQUIREMENTS      

• Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Extensive Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook),
• MC2, PlanSwift, BlueBeam, ShareFile and AIA Software; overall good technology skills with constant use of technology equipment                      
• Project Management Software - Timberline PM experience required, E-Builder and other online PM software a plus                         
• Excellent Understanding of project plans, specifications and contracts                               
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills                                                          
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and external)                           
• Ability to work on several projects concurrently                                                                    
• Strong attention to detail                                                                               
• Must have a valid driver's license, provide own transportation with Insurance                       
• Typing and data entry, general mathematical and accounting skills
• High Competence with Online Document Handling
• Higher Education, Healthcare, Public Projects Experience a plus

Construction related degree preferred with some level of commercial building construction estimating and bidding experience.  In lieu of degree, minimum five years of commercial general contracting bid estimate experience
