Teal Media is seeking a designer with a focus on motion graphics for a remote, contract or full-time. As a collaborative member of our team, you will lead video and motion graphics projects for high-profile social impact clients tackling big challenges in health, education, climate, and social justice as they look to convey their mission, stories, and unique value.
- LOCATION: Remote, but you must be in the U.S. to be considered.
- POSITION TYPE: Full Time
- SALARY RANGE: $80K-$95K (pending experience)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as an in-house expert and the lead creator for video and motion graphics projects—from small social media and website animations to full scripted animated videos
- Ensure video and motion deliverables accomplish project goals and requirements and meet Teal quality standards
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with project team members and clients, bringing creative insights to the already developed scripts and storyboards
- Quickly clarify and incorporate all internal and client feedback to keep projects moving forward
- Leverage your expertise to challenge our internal teams to develop the most effective, visually arresting solutions that exceed client expectations
- Partner with Project Managers and Art Directors to balance design solutions with budget and timeline limitations
- Brainstorm and provide design
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
- An impressive online portfolio. This will be the most important factor as we evaluate candidates
- 3+ years of experience in video/motion graphics design
- Expert understanding of motion best practices and design principles
- Expert-level knowledge of design and video software (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Premiere, etc. )
- Strong understanding of how audio, motion, and raw video can come together to tell a compelling story
- Self-starter, independent thinker, highly responsible
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Thrives working in a fast-paced environment
- Strict attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines
