Essential Job Duties
Leadership & Staff Support
Lead by example and model professional behavior at all times.
Mentor, coach, and support DSP staff during assigned shifts.
Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
Ensure staff are following company policies and state regulations.
Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
Address concerns promptly and communicate them to management.
Help resolve conflicts professionally.
Client Care
Ensure individuals receive quality, person-centered care.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
Encourage independence while respecting each individual's choices.
Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
Support individuals with community outings and recreational activities.
Ensure medications are administered according to company policy (if certified).
Compliance & Documentation
Review daily documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure documentation is completed before the end of each shift.
Report incidents, injuries, medication errors, or emergencies immediately.
Monitor compliance with ISP goals and behavior support plans.
Ensure all required documentation is submitted on time.
Assist management with state surveys and audits.
Home Management
Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure homes remain clean and safe.
Monitor food, household, and medical supplies.
Notify management when supplies need replenished.
Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained and reported if damaged.
Assist with scheduling coverage during call-offs when requested.
Communication
Maintain professional communication with families, guardians, case managers, and healthcare providers.
Report concerns immediately to the Residential Director or Administrator.
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
Assist with shift-to-shift communication to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Current automobile insurance.
Ability to pass background screening.
Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or obtain within required timeframe).
Current TB test (per company policy).
Ability to meet all state and company training requirements.

Work Schedule
Full-time
Weekends and holidays as required
On-call rotation required
