Title: Team Lead

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Salary: $22/ hr. plus $2 shift differential

Team Lead Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee daily production operations and guide team members on the 2nd shift. This person is responsible for bridging communication between management and employees, providing direction, coaching, and support to drive performance and ensure the successful execution of departmental goals.

Team Lead Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective goals

• Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure adherence to production schedules

• Monitor department operations for accuracy, quality, and efficiency

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support the setup of machines and tools

• Review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure work aligns with requirements

• Implement continuous improvement practices to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enforce 6S standards

• Provide daily/weekly production updates and maintain accurate records of work completed

• Conduct regular safety checks, maintain a clean, organized work environment, and enforce safety standards

Team Lead Reporting Relationships

The Team Lead will act as a bridge between management and employees. The role requires demonstrating the ability to run the department in the absence of the supervisor.

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Have 2 or more years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of machining processes, CNC equipment, and tooling

• Able to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

• Exhibit effective leadership, verbal communication skills, and team-building abilities

• Possess excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills

• Able to foster teamwork within the department and collaborate with other departments

• Have basic computer knowledge, including using an ERP system

Additional Information

Work Environment: This role is on-site in Avon Lake in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations.

Physical Demands: The position requires walking and standing on the plant floor. Employees may be frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 45 pounds without help.
