Position Summary:
The Team Lead will oversee and coordinate support services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to promote their independence, personal growth, and social inclusion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to individual care.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and support a team of direct care staff.
Develop and implement individualized support plans aligning with the individuals' goals and needs.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and state/federal regulations.
Facilitate staff training on best practices, safety protocols, and developmental strategies.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community resources to optimize individual support.
Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the team and with individual's services.
Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED (bachelor's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with ID/DD or similar experience
Previous leadership experience is a plus.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with potential for flexible scheduling.
Will require occasional evening or weekend hours.
Physical ability to assist individual with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities
