    GENERAL SUMMARY The LDA Assistant Media Planner’s primary responsibility is to work directly with a media planner on the Central LDA Regional markets. The AMP will learn all aspects of spot market media including spot TV/Cable, spot radio, newspaper, local magazine, out-of-home, local digital and some exposure to sponsorships/event marketing.  The AMP will also gain a broad base knowledge of media terminology, media options and basic media planning.  

    DAY TO DAY: •    Goal Entry / SBA issuance to Zenith.         •    Update and maintain flowcharts/budgets.               •    Budget reconciliations.         •    Assist team with Heavy Up/Cut Recommendations, ultimately doing them by themselves.     •    Create Print insertion orders.     •    Assist with POVs, ultimately doing them by themselves.     •    Media/Market Research (CMR, IMS, comScore)     •    Establish strong working relationship with our broadcast buyers at Zenith & Field Account team. •    Support and generate ideas to support an “Ideas Culture” agency. •    Assist with Digital buys and metrics reports.  •    Assist on market plans, ultimately managing some markets themselves. •    Assist with Digital buys and metrics reports.

    EXPERIENCE:  •    Prior media internship experience is a plus.  •    Computer literate, with some experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.   •    A solid understanding of basic math, especially algebra, would be ideal.   •    Experience in proper business communications a plus.   •    Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player that likes working in a large groups.

    EDUCATION:  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
