GENERAL SUMMARY
This position plays a central role on integrated planning for SMWE, planning for all media types (typically digital-heavy). This position sits in our LA office (with the full team spread across LA and Dallas) and will oversee/handle stewardship, client service and manage a team of two or more.
Client: SMWE is a collection of distinctive wine estates in the PNW region, with wine brands 14 Hands, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, Erath and Intrinsic (among others) as part of the brand portfolio
Client/Job Details:
Digital-heavy media client, national in scope with focus on key markets in the US
Plan, execute and measure multiple campaign initiatives for numerous wine brands under the SMWE portfolio throughout the year
Collaborate internally with ad operations, account and creative for holistic campaigns
Communicate with vendors for existing initiatives and meet with new vendors for the next big idea
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
THE SUPERVISOR AND THEIR TEAM WILL BE CHARGED WITH DEVELOPING REMARKABLE MEDIA PLANS - PLANS THAT ARE INNOVATIVE, STRATEGIC AND INTEGRATE THE CREATIVE IDEA. SPECIFICALLY, THE MEDIA SUPERVISOR IS INTIMATELY FAMILIAR WITH ALL PARTS OF THE PLAN AND PROCESS AND IS PIVOTAL TO PLANNING SUCCESS, INCLUDING:
· BUILDING PLANS WITH EQUAL ATTENTION TO ALL MEDIA TYPES
· CONTRIBUTING TO STRATEGY AND IDEAS FOR PLANS
· SYNTHESIZING RESEARCH AND DATA AND ACTIVELY APPLYING THEM TO PLANS
· BRINGING TO LIFE THE PLAN STRATEGY, AS GUIDED BY MD
· HAVING A HANDLE ON NEGOTIATIONS, RFP SUBMISSIONS, AUDIENCE PROFILE AND ALL OF THE IMPORTANT PARTS OF BUILDING A PLAN AND EXECUTING IT.
· MANAGING MINDFUL CONTACT WITH THE MEDIA SALES COMMUNITY; ENSURING TRANSPARENCY AND CLARITY.
· KEEPING PROCESS ON TRACK TO ENSURE THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A PLAN
ADDITIONALLY, THIS PERSON (AND THEIR TEAM) WILL HAVE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRINT AND DIGITAL MEDIA EXECUTION AND STEWARDSHIP, ALONG WITH OVERALL BUDGETING AND REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES.
