    Job Description

    TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is recruiting for an experienced HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST to join a dynamic business in Fresno, CA.

     

    THE HR GENERALIST IS A KEY ROLE WITHIN THIS EXTREMELY FAST PACED WORK ENVIRONMENT AND WILL PROVIDE DIRECT SUPPORT TO THE HR MANAGER WITH BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION, ADMINISTERING LOA'S AND WC CLAIMS, ONBOARDING, NEW HIRE ORIENTATIONS, COVID TRACKING & PROTOCOLS, PAYROLL ASSISTANCE IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING SUPPORT WITH ALL GENERAL FUNCTIONS OF THE HR DEPARTMENT AS REQUIRED. 

     

    The ideal candidate for the HR Generalist position will be highly experienced and skilled in all general functions of Human Resources, able to work within an extremely fast-paced, deadline driven work environment and be able to provide outstanding support to the HR Manager while working independently as well as part of a team.

     

    The HR Generalist position is being offered on a full time, direct hire basis. The hours of this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will require overtime on occasion to meet deadlines. The company offers an outstanding benefits package, excellent work environment and a competitive pay rate of $28.85-$31.25 hourly ($60,000.00-$65,000.00 yearly), DOE.

     

    THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE HR GENERALIST:

    • Claims; WC claims filing, communication with WC provider, physicians, supervisors and employees
    • Benefits Administration; Entering  employee benefit information, communication with Third Party Administrators, enrollment, open enrollment and making changes as required
    • 401k; Enrollment, assisting employees with questions and preparation of loans, changes, etc.
    • Leave of Absences; Processing from start to finish, tracking, updating and providing direct support to employees
    • COVID protocols
    • New Hire Orientations; Conducting all new hire orientations, training and onboarding with employees in addition to creating employee files and documentation
    • Recruiting & Hiring; Assist with fulfilling open job requisitions, job description creation, job posting, interviewing and providing support to the HR Manager throughout the hiring process
    • Payroll Preparation; Entry and calculation of Timecards, proofing, investigating and correcting hours as necessary (Union and Non Union)
    • Wage & Hour Processing; Calculating vacation accruals, PSL accruals, ensuring meal and break periods are being taken as required
    • Daily Data Entry, Employee Records Coordination, Filing, Administrative Assistance and providing general HR support to the HR Manager

     

    THE REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION OF THE HR GENERALIST:

    • Must have at least 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist handling the duties listed
    • BA/BS Degree in Organizational Management/HR is required, PHR certification preferred
    • Must be able to work in an extremely fast paced work environment with multiple projects while meeting constant deadlines
    • Strong knowledge of local Labor Laws, Wage & Hour Laws and Human Resources Guidelines
    • Must have experience handling COVID protocols within the workplace
    • Keep updated of new employment related laws and guidelines
    • Professional communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
    • Superior attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Union experience preferred
