TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is recruiting for a WATER TREATMENT/DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR (DO, T1 & T2 Certification required) in the Fresno area.

Within this full time position, the Water Treatment/Distribution Operator will be responsible for traveling to client locations (farming operations, food processing facilities, etc.) and providing assistance with regard to their water system operational activities.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS A CURRENT AND VALID DO, T1 AND T2 WATER TREATMENT/DISTRIBUTION CERTIFICATION.

The pay range for the Water Treatment/Distribution Operator position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour to start, DOE. Position is a Direct Hire/Permanent opportunity and is available for immediate placement.

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE WATER TREATMENT/DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR WILL CONSIST OF:

• Advise water system (client) in decisions regarding certain operational activities.
• Install, tap, re-line, disinfect, test and connect water mains and appurtenances.
• Shut down, repair, disinfect, and test broken water mains.
• Oversee the flushing, cleaning, and pigging of existing water mains.
• Pull, reset, rehabilitate, disinfect and test domestic water wells.
• Stand-by emergency response duties for afterhours distribution system operational emergencies.
• Drain, clean, disinfect and maintain distribution reservoirs.
• Operate pumps and related flow and pressure control and storage facilities manually or by using a system control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
• Maintain and/or adjust system flow and pressure requirements, control flows to meet consumer demands including fore flow demand and minimum pressure requirements.
• Determine and control proper chemical dosage rates for wellhead disinfection and distribution residual maintenance.
• Investigate water quality problems in the distribution system.
• Collect all water sampling as required by regulatory agency or otherwise requested by client.
• Maintain monthly tracking list outlining all pending water samples, update on daily basis.
• Field sheets – prepare and revise all work requests as needed, meet monthly with Water Coordinator to discuss any water-related changes with clients and divide respective field sheets according to sampler.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION OF THE WATER TREATMENT/DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR:

• Driving will be required within this position and candidates must have a valid CA Driver License and excellent driving record
• Must have advanced MS Word and Excel experience
• Must possess a current DO, T1 & T2 Water Treatment/Distribution Certification
• Outstanding reliability, efficiency, organizational skills and follow through
• Ability to meet constant deadlines
• Superior Detail Orientation skills
• Strong understanding of Water Board requirements and regulatory compliance
• BS Degree in Chemistry or related field of study is preferred
