Staff Accountant

SUMMARY:

• Teasdale Fenton Cleaning and Property Restoration is a locally owned, full-service cleaning and restoration company that has been serving the needs of the Tri-State area for over 100 years. Our mission is to provide quality carpet/hard surface cleaning, emergency cleanup and restoration services to customers in their time of need after experiencing a loss due to smoke, fire, water, and storm damage whenever possible. Due to the demand for our services, we continue to grow our team both in the field and in the office. And that need for growth has reached our Accounting/Finance department where we need to add a Staff Accountant to the team.
• We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is looking for an opportunity to grow with us. This position will be involved in many collaborative processes with other departments within the organization. So, the ideal candidate will need to be a critical thinker, enjoy collaborating and problem solving and possess a can-do attitude.

RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Organize, and maintain the organization's accounting records, financial reports and general ledger accounts.
• Process payroll for branch office.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Contribute to the development and review of operating budgets and performance projections.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and expenses).
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Provide management with financial information through research and analysis.
• Use accounting software to prepare and review the organization's consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
• Preparing and issuing earnings statements.
• Providing administrative assistance to the accounting department.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
• Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Associate in accounting, bachelor’s preferred.
• 2-3 years general staff accounting work.
