    HR GENERALIST

    The HR Generalist position serves as the "Face of HR" to our employees and managers and acts as a human resources generalist within their facilities. In addition to ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, this position is responsible for the execution of HR initiatives at the facility level, investigating and resolving employee complaints and conflicts, the administration of collective bargaining agreements, recruiting for hourly roles, and making sure payroll gets out on time. This position is also responsible for building employee relations capability and enabling management effectiveness through the execution of employee relations initiatives and the delivery of targeted training programs.

    HR Generalist responsibilities are:

    • Implement performance management programs and procedures, including performance improvement plans

    • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure local compliance with execution of Company communication initiatives

    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing requirements needed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization

    • Implement and execute employee relations initiatives, such as Listening Sessions

    • Communicate and ensure understanding by employees of laws, regulations and organizational policies and answer questions by managers and employees as needed

    • Communicate compensation and benefits plans and policies to associates

    • Implement and execute other initiatives as directed by the HR Manager or required by company

    • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, issues and concerns

    • Administer work rules and monitor their application and enforcement to ensure fairness and consistency

    • Execute and monitor grievance and disciplinary policies and procedures to ensure fairness and consistency

    • Participate in payroll activites to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time

    • Implement and facilitate training programs (face-to-face, or computer based training) as required

    • Other duties as required

    Requirements are:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Minimum of three (3) years of exempt-level human resources experience or equivalent managerial experience

    We'd like to see:

    • Human Resources or related degree
    • Five (5) or more years of exempt-level human resources experience
    • Previous consumer products experience
    • Previous manufacturing or distribution experience
    • Previous experience working in a unionized environment
