Become a Cable Technician and learn to set up Data Centers for a wide range of clients. compensation: This is a contract job, and you will be paid $17.00 to $25.00, depending on experience. You will be paid on a bi-weekly basis employment type: contract position Hours: 20 to 70 hours per week Travel opportunities available This is a contract job, and you will be paid based on experience with upward growth. Responsibilities: - Work with various cable that include but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi -mode fiber optic cables. - Install data center infrastructure materials including: racks and cabinets w/ grounding, cable tray and ladder, cable management, copper and fiber networking cable, copper and fiber patch panels and any other materials necessary for data center operations. - Rack and stack equipment including network switches and routers, servers, power distribution devices, equipment grounding, patch cable network connections to equipment including copper and fiber, any other equipment necessary for data center operations. - Install structured wiring including network drops, coax cable drops and specialty cable with appropriate connectors in support of facilities operations for the corporate offices. - Pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling What we are looking for in a candidate: -Career minded individuals seeking more than a short-term job within a company invested in the employee's advancement. - -Able to work with your hands. -Able to lift up to 75lbs and climb and or work from ladders.
