    Job Description

    COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT

    Schedule: Part-time 10-14 hrs per week

    Pay: $18 - 22 per hour

    We are looking for a Communications Assistant to provide administrative support to various programs. Editing and writing company materials will be an important part of your job.

    In this role, you should be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail. If you also have administrative and social media marketing experience, we’d like to meet you.

    Ultimately, your goal will be to help ensure clear communication of our company’s message across all channels.

    • Provide administrative support to programs including answering and directing phone calls, plan meetings and take detailed minutes, provide general support, and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
    • Work directly with the CEO to be an ambassador for the CEO internally and externally – maintaining relationships with employees and clients on behalf of the CEO, and making sure all deadlines are met
    • Help implement communications strategies
    • Draft and edit communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
    • Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
    • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
    • Update databases and media lists
    • Track projects and media exposure
    • Maintain calendars and appointments
    • Prepare presentations and reports
