Do you love working with kids and want to make a difference this summer? Become a Lead Teacher for TechKnowHow's Summer Day Camp. Locations in Oakland, Burlingame, San Francisco, or Fremont/Pleasanton. We are a leader in tech-focused classes with over 25 years of summer classes with a focus on LEGO, Minecraft and game creation for ages 5-12. We've won the Best Summer Camp Tech award from Bay Area Parent for 2020 and 2021! We have openings for Lead Teachers, who work with an assistant, helping students in the 5-12 age range. Hours are typically 8 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday. Pay is $20-25/hr., depending on experience. You will be responsible for - Greeting parents and answering their questions Teaching students in the classroom. Depending on your interests, you will provide overviews of LEGO projects and/or demonstrate steps to make games using Scratch software or projects in Minecraft. You will have all instructions in front of you, plus receive training before camps begin. Assisting with recess supervision Problem-solving student questions and camp issues Communicating with the camp director about camp progress and any issues We'll train you on how to manage a site as well as the summer curriculum. Hours are typically from 8am- 4pm Monday-Friday. This is a day camp; no housing is provided.
