    ABOUT THE TEAM

    Our team manages the development, testing, production, and disaster recovery for a single client bank’s mainframe, network, and client server environments. We work directly with our client to manage and administer their ecosystem. We have an on-premises presence and support the bank by maintaining their systems updated and functional 24/7.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    You will be responsible to deploy releases of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain, and integrate system testing performance of PC/server operating systems, related utilities, and applications. This includes:

    • Installing, maintaining, and upgrading internal computer hardware and software systems used for client systems and applications This includes project management, installation, testing and deployments.

    • Managing group policies for user access and passwords controls.

    • Proposing and implementing system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.

    • Analysing, researching, and troubleshooting server, software, and hardware issues.

    • Assisting with recommending, scheduling, and implementing system software upgrades or repairs.

    • Researching, evaluating, and recommending software products.

    • Working on multiple projects and supporting production issues simultaneously.

    • Other related duties assigned as needed.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware

    • Knowledge of TCP/IP and tools and technical writing principles and practices

    • Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills

    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team and as a project lead.

    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public

    • 4 or more years of demonstrated experience.

    ADDED BONUS IF YOU HAVE

    · Knowledge of NetApp and Nutanix infrastructure

    · Windows Server 2012 and newer, Windows 10, and Linux systems.

    · SQL Server, Active Directory, SCCM, and/or Lotus Notes applications.

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems

    EXPERIENCE: 3 years professional experience in systems administration

    Personnel will be required to be eligible for a SECRET security clearance.  A small number of positions may be located away from Port Hueneme, including Norfolk, VA,  Mayport, FL and San Diego, CA 

    CERTIFICATIONS:  Industry standards for certifications change often and should not be codified in position descriptions unless certain certifications are required for the specific position sought by a particular contract AND the certification is not likely to change during the contract development, competition, and award. It is recommended that verbiage requiring compliance with the Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives be added to the contract which will invoke required certifications for this position.     GENERAL INFORMATION: 

    CANDIDATES Install and modernize systems; create risk assessments; create and maintain installation schedules; critical path and alternative options; tracking of shipyard and planning yard work, actions and milestones;  create shipyard and alteration team work items; support service requests; review Ship Installation Drawings maintaining configuration management; identify and analyze courses of action; track installation costs and schedules; and, perform analysis of installation data.

    Employees conduct site surveys for system and equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.  They support for plan, execute, monitor and report status of maintenance and modernization, testing, and assessments.  They participate in various working groups to support activities such as availability planning, availability execution, installation status, documentation and presentation development, testing critical path analysis, process review and improvement, metric development analysis and reporting.

    The candidates develop, implement, and test of hardware and software changes, including related infrastructure modifications, such as building platforms, enclosures, and foundations, and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, power, water etc. at the shipboard or land-based sites.

    The Contractor shall support documentation development and revision for items such as Interface Control Documents, test procedures, engineering studies, installation procedures, Alteration Installation Team workbooks, SOPs, weekly and final installation reports, availability reports, status presentations, installation in/out briefs, program review briefs, financial reports and lessons learned trackers.  Candidates track, research, analyze, and provide trend analyses and recommendations for availability testing and assessment issues.

    Candidates may support Mission Module refurbishment and installation planning for systems and equipment.   They will develop and maintain a Plan of Actions and Milestones to identify availability dates to refurbish, install, checkout and maintain Module System/Module Equipment, Mission Module Restricted Availability and integrated schedules.  They shall coordinate responses to integration and verification questions and other documentation to ensure compliance with quality processes, Mission Module requirements, and program office reporting.

    Candidates perform site surveys, audits and assessment of Mission Module maintenance.  They provide engineering support in analysis of Mission Module maintenance requirements and technical review of work packages.  Candidates develop Ready for Use certification tests and SOPs and technical writing of these processes, and maintain current, accurate and complete inventory records of Mission Module assets and prepare tracking reports.
