Techline, Inc. is seeking a Director of Fulfillment & Sourcing to work in the Professional Services Group in Austin, Texas.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Director of F&S will support customer order fulfillment and sourcing for a growing multi-state wholesale utility distributor based in Austin, Texas. This role will ensure that product deliveries support customer demands without unnecessarily decreasing Techline’s inventory turns. This will include proactive management of the supply chain operations, including purchasing, drop shipping, inventory, and vendor performance monitoring.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Provide strategic support to the dispersed geographic warehouse operations by reviewing material demand and fulfilling those demands in a timely fashion.
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly collaboration with purchasing agents in each warehouse.
Develop and implement purchasing guidelines that improve customer satisfaction and track vendor performance.
Follow up on domestic and international delivery schedules to determine when expediting is necessary while proactively communicating delays and steps of resolution to the sales team.
Manage internal and external freight costs to meet profitability targets and market competitiveness.
Work with management to identify service improvement, cost negotiation, and pricing opportunities for margin improvement.
Analyze inventory levels in each different geographic warehouse based on past usage and current sales forecasts. Initiate substitutions in orders to reduce excess inventory across warehouse locations.
Create a compelling case for change and inspire stakeholders and your team to collaborate and realize the value, innovation, and creativity sourcing brings to the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
4 Year College Degree in procurement, supply chain management, business management, or related field.
5+ years of successful supply chain management experience
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will work with a team of purchasing agents inside a matrix organization.
