DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC DUTIES IN A TYPICAL WORKDAY FOR THIS POSITION:

Java web applications and SQL developer to support and enhance Navy Manpower Requirements System (NMRS). Position will be responsible for performing detailed program design, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of software to enhance NMRS data quality, correct deficiencies, meet mandated requirements, and implement necessary enhancements. Individual will operate in a team environment to support and enhance the NMRS system to meet both functional and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree, High School diploma or GED.
• Five (5) year of software programming experience.
• Experience developing with JEE web technologies, such as JSP’s, Servlets, ServletFilters, etc..
• Experience in web design using HTML and CSS.
• Experience or familiarity with JSF (Java Server Framework) or similar MVC technologies.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate or other ORM framework.
• Experience with Oracle 11G and 12C database or at least a 2 years in database development; including stored procedures, table views for reports, database triggers for auditing, and use of (offset/limit) for pagination of data.
• Experience with writing unit tests including functional and integration tests.
• Experience writing, testing and documenting JAVA code using object-oriented techniques.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and current best practices
• Experience with generating and developing Jasper reports, including editing JRXML files.
• Experience using SQL. Candidate should be experienced in building complex SQL statements to access normalized application data with complex relationships.

NICE TO HAVE:

• MICROSOFT OFFICE tools - 1 year. Candidate should have working knowledge of MS Word, excel, and Visio for use in data analysis, documentation and status reporting tasks.
• Ability to work closely with customers to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Self-motivated application that possesses a strong desire to learn new technologies and has a desire to deliver quality solutions to the customer.
• MICROSOFT Project - Candidate should have working knowledge of MS Project for use in workflow development and task tracking.

This is a full time position paying a base salary, full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
