Job Description

Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes and maintains test automation. Evaluates, recommends and implements automated test tools and strategies.

Primary responsibility:     •    Project-based testing: attend requirements and design sessions, translate requirements into test plans, manual testing, automate tests as necessary

Secondary responsibilities: •    Maintenance and execution of existing automated scripts for smoke and regression testing •    Attend client meetings to document additional automation needs

Experience: •    Web-based application testing •    Ability to break-down business requirements into test cases •    Ability to assimilate test cases into a concise set of test plans •    Ability to execute manual test plans •    Ability to translate manual test plans into data-driven automated test scripts •    Familiarity with various types of testing used by this team:  ad-hoc, smoke, regression, ADA, and system •    Experience with trouble-shooting anomalies found during testing •    Experience with defect analysis, reporting, and retesting •    Ability to pay attention to detail, to think creatively in test case design, and have an understanding of application architecture •    Willingness to admit mistakes and to work with other team members to resolve the issue •    Ability to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects concurrently •    Proven communication skills with developers, analysts, and business clients Required Skills: HP UFT(Quicktest Pro) and ALM (Quality Center) toolset - Required 4 years LoadRunner for load and performance testing - Nice to have 2 years Experience developing, managing and executing regression, smoke, load and performance tests - Required 5 years Experience developing small programs with VB Script or similar programming language - Required 3 years Experience creating basic to moderate complexity SQL queries that extract information from existing databases - Nice to have 1 year Ability to read and understand complex written software requirements at a detailed level - Required 3 years Ability to use MS Excel including advanced features for data import/export, sorting, and table creation - Required 3 years
