Job Description
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) role will serve as a key liaison between clients, RAM’s, CPG and Materials Management personnel with a focus on managing and maintaining accurate waste profiles while ensuring regulatory compliance and superior customer service.
Working as part of a dedicated team of customer experience, sales, and compliance professionals, you’ll take ownership of the profile process by working internally to coordinate their waste disposal needs in accordance with their service agreements.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
· Demonstrates a high level of Customer Service acumen while engaging with external and internal clientele.
· Provides technical service support related to creating and supporting the profile process.
· Provides process code support to Sales and Proposal Development as needed.
· Acts as the primary point of contact for technical waste management inquiries, fostering strong client, CPG & RAM relationships.
· Supports business growth providing profile support for new and existing customers, allowing Sales to spend more time in the field.
· Stays updated on relevant hazardous waste regulations and communicate updates to clients as needed. DOT and RCRA training annual.
· Collaborates with internal compliance teams, CPG, Operations and Materials Managers when necessary.
· Maintains detailed records of client interactions, waste profiles, and service activities.
· Runs reports out of Core and send to the Team on a weekly basis showing profile statuses.
· Participates in weekly call with Sales Team assisting projects, how to streamline process, progress update, feedback, etc.
· Identifies trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
· Performs other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Basic Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Sciences environmental studies or equivalent in industry experience.
· High level of Customer Service acumen and business acumen.
· Self-directed, with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
· Experience using a CRM system or web-based programs, proprietary online applications; preferably Salesforce.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in details; and strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
· Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Industry related work experience with waste characterization, waste handling logistics, and profiling, demonstrating familiarity with EPA/RCRA, and DOT regulations.
· Knowledge of Salesforce, Ariba, or Oracle systems.
· Ability to lead account-specific projects.
Physical and Mental Demands
· Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
· Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.
· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
· Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
