  • Responsibilities

    Architectural Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to lead and manage the development of detailed architectural documentation and technical solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong command of building systems and codes, and is experienced in transforming design concepts into fully coordinated construction documents.

    This role requires close collaboration with design teams, consultants, fabricators, and contractors to ensure design intent is preserved while meeting technical, code, and performance requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and documentation.

    Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and zoning laws.

    Collaborate with design architects to maintain design intent while addressing technical constraints.

    Coordinate with engineering consultants, manufacturers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of systems.

    Provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) across all project phases.

    Oversee BIM/Revit models and ensure accurate documentation throughout project lifecycle.

    Solve complex architectural and technical problems with practical, buildable solutions.

    Participate in site visits, field reports, RFIs, submittals, and construction administration as needed.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

    5+ years of experience in architectural design and documentation with a strong technical focus.

    Licensed Architect or on path to licensure preferred.

    Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard tools (Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc.).

    In-depth knowledge of building codes (IBC, ADA, local codes) and construction standards.

    Strong understanding of building envelope, structural systems, MEP coordination, and sustainability principles.

    Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with LEED or WELL certification projects.

    Knowledge of fabrication methods and advanced materials.

    Experience with integrated project delivery (IPD) or design-build projects.

    Familiarity with construction management software platforms.
