    Reports To: Design Engineer

    Overview

    RealCraft is seeking a Technical Design Drafter to support our drafting team in creating high-quality technical drawings, 3D visuals, and product documentation. This is a unique, hybrid role—ideal for someone with strong technical skills and mental agility who enjoys solving design challenges. Working closely with the Design Engineer, you’ll take on a variety of smaller, detail-driven projects, applying creative thinking to develop practical, well-crafted solutions.

As a local, family-owned company, we work with real materials—true timber doors and solid metal hardware—crafted onsite using traditional joinery.     Compensation & Benefits

    $30 - $35 hourly wage

    What You’ll Be Doing

    In this role, you’ll work closely with our Design Engineer and production team, taking on a steady flow of small, detail-driven projects. A typical week might include:

    Create drawings for design, client approval, and fabrication

    Develop 3D illustrations and graphics for installation instructions

    Produce AutoCAD / Revit elements of door systems for use in architectural BIM models

    Create and maintain product cut sheets and technical documentation

    Standardize CAD graphics, templates, title blocks, and drawing organization

    Document and support standardized product offerings

    Collaborate with design, drafting, and production teams

    Other drafting-related tasks as needed

    Qualifications

    Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit / Sketch-Up or similar CAD software

    Strong drafting and technical documentation skills

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

    Ability to communicate technical information clearly

    Strong technical understanding and an eye for design

    Preferred:

    Experience with custom fabrication, millwork, or doors

    3D modeling/visualization experience
