    Technical Devices Inc is a manufacturers' representative specializing in process measurement and metering solutions for customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region

    Job purpose:

    TDI is seeking a qualified, self-motivated individual to join our outside sales team. The outside sales representative will identify new business opportunities, manage assigned accounts, and drive top-line growth within a mature existing sales territory. Territory includes southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Customer base is diverse and includes energy production/distribution, building automation, pharmaceuticals, university campuses, petrochemical, water and wastewater treatment, and others.

    Compensation: Salary plus bonuses Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Develop confidence and expertise with regard to major product lines and technologies

    Handle inbound RFQs in a timely manner

    Understand customer operations and challenges in order to make recommendations and specify solutions

    Maintain and expand existing accounts

    Develop and nurture relationships with prospective customers across a variety of industries

    Host presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product demos at customer locations

    Troubleshoot and liaise between customers and manufacturers

    Work with inside sales resources to direct effective marketing campaigns

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education) in a relevant discipline preferred, not required

    Qualifications:

    In general, the successful candidate will have either extensive demonstrated achievement in sales, or otherwise will have practical and relevant experience within our customers’ industries. An ideal candidate will have the following:

    Sales experience

    Technical product background in industrial automation

    Hands-on experience with pertinent technologies

    Mechanical/engineering acumen

    Enthusiasm and motivation to learn and grow
