The Co-op experience at Rexroth-Charlotte will consist of three rotations through the Technical Engineering Functions Department. Each major technical work area is further described below:
Qualifications
Candidates must be actively pursuing at least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline. Enrollment in a program that provides a solid foundation in engineering principles and problem-solving skills is required. Additionally, candidates must be available to complete three rotations as part of the program, which are integral to gaining practical experience and contributing to project success

Co-op Program Overview
The Co-operative Education (Co-op) Program consists of three alternating full-time work rotations integrated with the student’s university schedule. This structure allows participants to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while gaining valuable professional experience across multiple semesters.
Rotation Schedule:
First Rotation: August – December 2026
Second Rotation: May – August 2027
Third Rotation: January – May 2028
Format:
Each rotation is a full-time, on-site assignment (40 hours per week) where students engage in hands-on technical projects, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. Between rotations, students return to university to continue their academic coursework.
Program Duration:
Approximately 18–20 months total, depending on university schedule alignment.
Objective:
To provide a structured pathway for students to develop technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and professional growth through direct industry involvement.
