    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    The Robert Bosch Corporation realizes the mutual benefit of developing Engineering students over several work terms. Therefore, we are seeking to hire students who wish to work three or more terms at the Florence manufacturing facility. At the Florence, KY facility, Bosch designs and produces automotive steering components and systems sold to vehicle OEMs throughout North America.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but not limited to the following.

    • Works in accordance with safety regulations and procedures at all times (LOTO, Confined Spaces, Hazardous Material Handling procedures, etc.)
    • Participates in root cause problem solving & troubleshooting issue
    • Under direct supervision - assists with preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance
    • Perform minor ground support equipment maintenance and inspections
    • Communicate and work effectively through specific task assignment
    • Analysis and decision-making responsibility for specific problems or topics
    • Works cross-functionally with production/maintenance/engineering staff to provide effective maintenance support
    • Identifies and shares with Leadership potential cost savings and cost avoidance measures
    • Build an understanding of line downtime caused by equipment issues, and propose solutions
    • Work effectively with outside vendors and internal staff to ensure replacement parts are on hand
    • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and Qualifications:

    Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from a 4 year university and be actively enrolled for the duration of your co-op.

    • Preferred areas of study: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance Technology
    • Ability to rotate back for at least 2 semesters (The team would ideally like to have someone in this role for at least 6 months)
    • Must be able to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Problem Solving
      • Strong analytical and intellectual skills
      • Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge
      • Welding, plumbing, and pipe fitting experience
    • Communication Skills
      • Effectively communicate with different levels of associates and cultures
    • Self-starting, results oriented, flexible, team player
    • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Meet deadlines on assigned tasks, utilize project timeline tools, effectively communicate goals and results
