Business Systems Analyst, HR Integrations (Mid to Senior)
Position summary
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst, HR Integrations, to own the bridge between our HR compensation platform, customer HRIS systems, and the broader partner ecosystem. In this role you will translate compensation-relevant data needs into reliable integration design, work hands-on with HRIS APIs (including research & validation), and support customers and partners through setup and ongoing operations. You will also help advance relationships with HRIS vendors so mutual customers can establish data feeds, and you will partner with product and engineering to make the Integrations experience clearer and more self-service. This role suits someone who combines structured business analysis with practical technical work. This role suits someone who combines structured business analysis with practical implementation and integration engineering: comfortable in workshops and documentation, and equally comfortable in Postman, SQL, and log-based troubleshooting of scheduled syncs. Project management experience (planning rollouts, coordinating stakeholders, de-risking timelines) is a plus, as well as exposure to business development or account growth.
Responsibilities
Software implementation & HRIS integration delivery
? Lead or support end-to-end integration implementations: discovery, configuration, validation—often spanning multiple HR systems and compensation-relevant topics.
? Use Postman (or similar) to research HRIS APIs, compare vendor capabilities, validate data, and document realistic behaviors.
? Turn findings into clear integration specifications and customer-facing what-to-expect guidance.
HRIS partner and ecosystem development
? Lead or substantially contribute to efforts to grow and maintain relationships with HRIS vendors focused on mutual customer success and sustainable integration patterns (joint messaging, shared troubleshooting paths, and practical setup enablement as appropriate).
? Represent the integrations and technical-operational perspective in partner and customer discussions when connectivity and rollout are central.
Customer adoption, implementation support, and enablement
? Participate in customer calls to guide configuration, de-risk cutover, and help stakeholders understand why integration steps matter for compensation data quality.
? Create step-by-step guides (for example, PDF) for non-technical administrators, emphasizing clarity, common pitfalls, and validation checkpoints.
Product development (Integrations experience)
? File and refine Azure DevOps (ADO) work items to improve the Integrations page and workflows (clarity, guardrails, better error surfacing, progressive setup).
? Proactively lead or co-lead initiatives that improve usability and user-friendliness of integrations, aligned with product direction and support realities.
Reliability, monitoring, and data-model stewardship
? Review logs and operational signals for weekly and other scheduled syncs; investigate API errors, patterns, and recurring failure modes, with clear handoffs to engineering when code changes are needed.
? Use SQL to validate stored configuration and data relationships; partner with engineering on schema and usage improvements for API credential and integration configuration storage, including security-appropriate practices and operational maintainability.
Qualifications
Required
? 3+ years of experience in business systems, software implementation, or solutions analyst type role, with a track record of turning stakeholder needs into implementable integration requirements.
? Strong understanding of HRIS data concepts in real implementations (worker lifecycle, org and job structures, and attributes commonly used in comp planning and compensation administration flows).
? Direct experience with B2B integrations involving APIs and scheduled data movement; strong comfort explaining integration tradeoffs to non-technical customers.
? Hands-on API skills, including use of Postman (or similar) to explore and validate endpoints, plus familiarity with REST behaviors, authentication patterns, and common error handling.
? SQL proficiency to query, compare, and validate data for integration and configuration review; experience collaborating on sensitive fields (for example, stored credentials) with appropriate discretion.
? Proactively identifies gaps and opportunities, takes ownership, and leads cross-functional work to improve integration and customer experience.
? Exceptional written communication: can produce clear, customer-ready guides and internal documentation that engineering can build against.
? Proven ability to work in-office with a highly collaborative cadence (workshops, cross-functional sessions, and rapid alignment with product and engineering).
Preferred (often associated with the Senior end of the range)
? 5+ years delivering end-to-end HRIS implementations (e.g., configuration, integrations, data migration, and go-live support).
? Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end integration outcomes across multiple customers and/or vendors.
? Deep familiarity with compensation administration, merit cycles, job structures, and how they interact with HR source systems.
? Experience reviewing operational monitoring and logs for batch and sync jobs and driving recurring quality improvements.
? Prior participation in agile delivery rituals and cross-team prioritization; interest in coordination and leadership growth paths.
Work environment
This role is in-office; expectations for on-site collaboration, stakeholder availability, and partner and customer meeting cadence will align with the team's operating model
