    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technical Manager - Nuclear Medicine.

    In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative and clinical performance for the Nuclear Medicine Service. This includes but is not limited to quality assurance, regulatory compliance and workflow operations. Serves as a member of the leadership team. Manages staffing concerns and resource utilization and participates in all appropriate clinical activities.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for patient and nuclear medicine workflow
    • Responsible for technologist nuclear medicine workflow
    • Responsible for assigning patient exams based on type of procedure, required equipment and/or knowledge of technologist skills
    • Staff Management including but not limited to disciplinary action, performance evaluation and/or competency assessment, time keeping, interviewing, hiring & orientation
    • Maintains a high level of technical skills and current knowledge in nuclear medicine related technology
    • Advocates and reinforces adherence to all NYU Langone Health Policy & Procedures & Radiology related policy & procedures in the leadership role
    • Exhibits leadership behavior consistent with the Medical Center and the Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department mission statement, philosophy and departmental policies.
    • Maintains the evaluation and inventory of products, supplies, space and imaging equipment
    • Ensures equipment and technical operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Reviews documentation on testing performed to ensure it is accurate and complete.
    • Inspects all patient and working areas to ensure that all appropriate cleanliness, safety measures and infection control procedures are followed and are in compliance with internal and external policies governing radiological services.
    • Develops and maintains quality control programs for equipment and other integral components of the imaging systems.
    • Responsible for managing nuclear medicine related dosage policies & procedures
    • Responsible for understanding all software necessary for departmental operations
    • Manages Nuclear Medicine Training Program. Provides support to students and coordinates training in Nuclear Medicine exams to meet training requirements of program.
    • Monitors the Problem Detect List to review exams not read; investigates and provides follow-up.
    • Assists staff with the acquisition and processing of exams as needed.
    • Cares for patients as needed to sustain department operations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) recognized nuclear medicine technology program.
    • Certification registration in Nuclear Medicine by either the: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Five years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Good interpersonal communication skills.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $148,324.18 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
