Technical Program Manager

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to lead customer-facing development and production programs for engine OEM clients. This role serves as the “first line” technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams, while also driving program execution, contract development, and business growth opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong program leadership, technical aptitude in engine systems (especially natural gas/propane applications), and the ability to manage complex customer relationships across global regions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Engine OEM customer programs across development and production phases
- Serve as primary technical point-of-contact for customers and internal engineering stakeholders
- Lead customer program management including timing, status tracking, and reporting
- Act as a consultant to customers on products, systems, and technical issues
- Maintain bi-directional customer communication to capture requirements and ensure alignment
- Liaise across internal functions (Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Application Engineering, etc.) to coordinate support and resolve requests
- Develop and execute customer contracts and agreements
- Submit quote proposals and coordinate internal pre-quote reviews
- Participate in product development design gate reviews as required
- Support internal and external FMEA development at the product and system level
- Contribute to global service and production pricing development
- Help shape customer strategies at global and regional levels
- Identify new business opportunities and growth initiatives (current and future customers)
- Provide insight into customer forecasts/orders and assist with closing open receivables as needed
- Gather and assess customer technology and competitive market information
- Lead contract reviews prior to award and ensure compliance with agreed terms
- Develop RASICs with customers and maintain open issues lists to drive task completion
- Identify, escalate, and remove roadblocks to ensure successful program completion
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (business aptitude strongly preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience leading engineering programs, product development, or business plan execution
- Experience managing complex technical programs through development, launch, and Start of Production (SOP)
- Strong knowledge of natural gas/propane gaseous fuel engines in industrial or heavy-duty on-road markets
- Experience with engine controls and related systems including:
- Engine fuel systems and fuel system components
- Powertrain and electronics systems
- Engine applications in industrial/heavy-duty markets
- Required technical understanding of:
- Continuous Flow Valves (CFVs)
- Engine Control Modules (ECMs)

- San Antonio, TX
- Pay: $90,000 - $125,000
