Technical Project Coordinator - Building Products - Base Salary to 120k/year - Canoga Park, CA
Our client, an established building products manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Coordinator to join their onsite team in Canoga Park, CA. This position supports the Technical Director and combines project coordination, technical documentation, construction and building product support, and customer communication. Frequent travel to customer and project sites is required.
The Technical Project Coordinator will initially support scheduling, communications, project coordination, site visits, customer correspondence, and technical project activities while developing a working knowledge of the company's products and processes. The role will expand to include technical documentation, product specifications, submittals, internal procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage calendars, meetings, scheduling, travel arrangements, and itineraries for the Technical Director
Coordinate project activities, customer and project site visits, meetings, and follow-up items
Monitor, organize, prioritize, and respond to communications as appropriate on behalf of the Technical Director
Draft correspondence and follow-up communications with customers, architects, contractors, distributors, and internal teams
Track project action items and follow up on open technical and customer issues
Assist with technical documentation, project documentation, and project records
Coordinate product samples, submittals, specifications, technical data, and product information requests
Prepare meeting notes, reports, project documentation, and technical summaries
Maintain digital filing systems, technical records, and project documentation
Develop and maintain company procedures, workflows, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support the preparation and maintenance of product specifications, technical data sheets, installation guidelines, and related technical documentation
Participate in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives involving departmental procedures and workflows
Support technical projects, research assignments, and cross-functional initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field
8+ years of relevant experience in Construction or Building Products
Experience working with construction, building materials, building products, construction products, or related technical products
Must be able to work onsite in Canoga Park, CA
Must be able to complete required travel to customer and project sites
