Position Overview
As a Technical Quotes Representative , you will play a mission‑critical role in delivering fast, accurate, technically validated quotes for sealing products and custom‑engineered components. This is a high‑visibility position supporting sales, engineering, procurement, and key customers while directly influencing quoting accuracy and win rates in a growing technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, detailed quotes for sealing products , gaskets, O‑rings, PTFE parts, and custom‑fabricated components.
- Interpret customer drawings, engineering prints, tolerances, materials, and performance requirements.
- Validate manufacturability and feasibility prior to releasing quotes.
- Partner with engineering and operations to confirm capability, cost assumptions, and alternative solutions.
- Coordinate with procurement to verify material availability, vendor pricing, and lead times.
- Build cost structures for custom components using BOMs, machining/fabrication processes, and material usage.
- Maintain quoting accuracy across ERP/CRM systems.
- Communicate with customers to clarify technical specifications and application needs.
- Recommend materials and product alternatives when appropriate.
- Support sales and customer service teams with technical insights.
- Track quote KPIs: turnaround time, accuracy, win/loss performance.

Required Background
- Bachelor's degree preferred; technical or manufacturing‑related degree a plus.
- 2–5 years' experience in sealing products, gaskets, O‑rings, industrial distribution, or engineered components.
- Proven experience generating technical quotes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, materials, tolerances, and specifications.
- Understanding of elastomers, rubber compounds, PTFE, plastics, and common sealing materials.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes: die cutting, molding, extrusion, machining.
- ERP quoting experience (Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, IQMS).
- Strong Excel skills for costing and quote analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for technical clarifications and customer interaction.
- High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work under fast quoting timelines.
- Experience at a sealing/gasket/O‑ring manufacturer or distributor.
- Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, ISO, or MIL standards for sealing materials.
- Understanding of tolerance stack‑ups and GD&T concepts.
- Experience quoting custom machined PTFE, elastomer, or polymer components.
