Technical Sales Estimator
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year + bonuses

Our client, a leading full-service roofing and exterior services provider, is on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Sales Estimator to join their innovative team. This role offers a unique blend of estimation and project management, making it the perfect opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in commercial roofing.
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to take charge of creating cost estimates and construction schedules, covering a spectrum from rough-order-of-magnitude to detailed working estimates. The primary focus is on aiding clients in their selections and presenting outcomes in a format that suits both clients and the design team. We are especially interested in candidates with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, along with a knack for innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and colleagues to understand product development.
- Strengthen relationships with various stakeholders in coordination with the Business Development Leader.
- Grow and manage client portfolio, attending pre-bid meetings and organizing bid invitations.
- Review contracts, project specifications, and drawings, compiling necessary project details.
- Utilize Edge Estimating Software for take-offs and estimates.
- Manage estimating functions, including bids, pricing, and change orders.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and draft detailed project proposals and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on project handoffs, dispute resolution, and account management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization within estimates and coordinate with project and production teams.
- Monitor project financials, performance metrics, and bid results, preparing reports for stakeholders.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED; a degree in Business or Construction Management is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in project management/estimating for commercial roofing.
- Familiarity with commercial roofing materials like single-ply, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied, and metal (highly preferred).
- Knowledge and understanding of the top commercial roofing competitors within the market.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of creating financial forecasts.
- Preferably experienced with Edge Estimating.
- Skill in analyzing specifications and drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Previous Experience and Knowledge of Edge Estimating Software.
