This role will be responsible for:
- Partnering closely with seed dealers and channel partners to provide technical training, education, and co-selling support.
- Driving territory sales growth in crop inputs, biologicals, and nutritionals through existing and new dealer relationships.
- Managing and expanding a book of business while prospecting for new channel partners (approx. 80–90% dealer support, 10–15% new development).
- Executing a structured, data-driven sales process including goal setting, performance reviews, and quarterly sales outcomes.
- Collaborating with the Business Development Manager and partner seed companies to drive sales alignment and field training opportunities.
Expectations will include:
- Demonstrated success in ag retail, seed, or crop input sales with a track record of closing business through multiple touchpoints.
- Proven ability to educate and influence growers and dealers on biological and nutritional technologies that drive yield and ROI.
- Willingness to travel throughout this OH/MI region to meet clients, attend field events, and support seed partners.
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
- Hands-on collaboration with distribution networks — understanding how seed performance, biologicals, and nutrient technologies intersect in the field.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- 5–10+ years of ag sales experience (seed, biologicals, agronomy, or ag retail preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of crop fertility, soil health, and farm profitability drivers.
- Competitive, self-motivated, and committed to helping growers and dealers win through innovative agronomic solutions.
- Trustworthy, organized, and able to adapt to changing market conditions.
Compensation: Targeting a base salary from $90-$140K, depending on experience.
Benefits: Full benefit package, 401K, option of company truck or vehicle stipend.
Location: Southern MI or OH, likely the Western 1/2 of Ohio.
