    Position Overview
    SCM Group North America is seeking a driven, Technical Field Sales Representative to expand market presence and generate new business within a defined territory. This role is for a true hunter—someone who thrives on prospecting, turning leads into sales, and building customer relationships.

    This position will support the Portland / Seattle territory with regular travel throughout the assigned area.

    This is an ideal opportunity for a person with background in CNC Machinery, woodworking equipment, or other high-tech capital equipment, looking to expand their career in sales.

    Compensation
    Base salary starting at $60,000 with uncapped commission. Top performers typically earn six figures annually.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prospect and develop new business within assigned territory
    Visit customers and prospects to identify needs and opportunities
    Build and maintain relationships with end users, dealers, and distributors
    Support dealers in driving sales execution and expanding market reach
    Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities through the full sales cycle
    Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support solution development
    Present and demonstrate equipment and technical capabilities to customers
    Lead commercial discussions, negotiate, and close sales
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity in CRM system
    Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs

    Qualifications

    3+ years of experience in capital equipment, CNC machinery, or industrial equipment, to include at least 1 year of sales experience
    Hunter mentality with demonstrated skills in prospecting, lead development, and solution selling
    Strong mechanical, technical, or engineering aptitude
    Experience working with dealers or distributors preferred
    Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    Ability to work independently in a field-based role with regular travel throughout the assigned territory. Some international travel may also be required
