    Job Summary

We are seeking a highly technical, results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our Houston-based services team. This role is focused on driving growth within our fluid power services division, specializing in hydraulic system refurbishment, maintenance, and technical support.

The ideal candidate is a Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist (CFPHS) with a deep understanding of OEM components and a proven track record in consultative sales. You will serve as the technical bridge between our clients and our engineering team, providing mission-critical solutions for complex motion and control applications across the industrial, offshore, and renewables sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Business Development: Identify and capture new service and repair opportunities for hydraulic power units (HPUs), cylinders, pumps, and complex fluid power systems.

    • Technical Consultation: Conduct deep-dive discovery with client engineers to troubleshoot existing system failures and propose high-efficiency upgrades or reverse-engineering solutions.

    • OEM Strategy: Leverage knowledge of major hydraulic OEM brands to provide competitive spare parts programs and lifecycle support services.

    • Project Integration: Collaborate with the Project Services team to support large-scale industrial infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless delivery of hydraulic control systems.

    • Proposal Engineering: Develop detailed technical proposals, including sizing components, reviewing schematics, and defining Scopes of Work (SOW) for field service and shop repairs.

    • Market Leadership: Represent the company at industry events and conduct technical presentations/training for customers on fluid power best practices.

    Required Qualifications

    • Certification: Current IFPS Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist (CFPHS) or Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS) is highly preferred.

    • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering specifically within the hydraulics/fluid power industry.

    • OEM Knowledge: Deep familiarity with industrial hydraulic components (pumps, motors, valves, and manifold blocks) from leading global manufacturers.

    • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.

    • Sales Acumen: Proven ability to manage a long-cycle, consultative sales process involving multiple stakeholders (Engineering, Procurement, and Operations).

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is a plus, but extensive hands-on experience in fluid power will be prioritized.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience in "Sales for Service"—identifying maintenance and overhaul needs for legacy industrial equipment.

    • Familiarity with motion control systems, including PLC integration with hydraulic hardware.

    • Strong networking presence within the Houston industrial and energy markets.
