    Job Description

    This is both a technical and client-facing role that would suit someone who is currently working for an equipment manufacturer in a product design capacity or working for a certification body or test laboratory; and who is enthusiastic, pragmatic, and thorough and who enjoys being part of a small, growing team. Experience is preferred at this stage, but we are also willing to discuss other roles and opportunities with newly qualified candidates. As the Baltimore Technical Services Coordinator (TSC), you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of test activities at the laboratory level and collaborate with onsite/offsite laboratories in support of inter company projects.

    ** Project Coordinator Responsibilities:** __

    • Become a liaison between Customer and Eurofins for all aspects of each assigned project. In doing so, the project coordinator should be proactive in creating 'win-win' situations and minimizing unnecessary back and forth between the customer and the lab.
    • Work with Laboratory Manager(s) and Sales (as applicable) to develop creative scheduling strategies to fit the customer’s needs and to ensure that any obstacles to project completion are removed quickly and efficiently.
    • Intercompany and subcontract project coordination (including a weekly call, correspondence, PO issuance and invoice reconciliation).
    • Organize and lead project kick off calls, including taking meeting notes and dispersing to all attendees
    • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all aspects of client satisfaction and maintaining optimum scheduling of testing facilities.
    • Manage the full scope of client projects once a signed proposal or order is received by Sales to ensure that client requirements are met in a timely manner.
    • Communicate project status to clients and manage expectations during the project period.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with the Lab & Sales teams to ensure that all client issues are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
    • Maintain & update METrak in accordance with formal training.
    • Bring closure to all assigned jobs that have been inactive for greater than 3 months.
    • Reports/Closures: Every 2 weeks, run a report of all jobs that are On Hold, Awaiting Start, Failing, etc. and follow up with the customer to get an update on a start/return date to bring projects to closure.
    • Solicit feedback from each assigned customer during and after each job.
    • Toggle for Billing jobs that the engineers provide and update direct report of progress
    • Reception (Front Desk) and shipping/receiving duties, as needed.
    • Other duties as deemed appropriate by management and for which management believes adequate experience exists, or for which knowledge can be easily obtained in order to perform such duties.

    ** Test Technician Responsibilities:**

    • Work with Laboratory Manager(s) and Test Engineer(s) to conduct Consumer Product Testing correctly and safely.
    • Preparation of test data and reports.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Experienced computer literacy, database management, effective oral/written communication, basic project management skills.
    • Ability to follow written procedures and follow basic safety guidelines and given instructions.
    • Ability to supervise a difficult schedule and complete tasks, correctly and on time.
    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

    ** Physical Demands:**

    • Able to sit for long periods of time.
    • Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

    This is a high-profile position that requires corporate and site level interactions. This position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to work well and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff as a team member and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
