Roofing Project Manager / Technical Services Manager

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 DOE (targeting under $100K; flexibility for the right candidate) Location: Houston preferred; Texas-based candidates considered

Travel: 50–70%

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on roofing professional with strong experience in roof coating installations and contractor training. This role is responsible for supporting projects from job setup and contractor onboarding through inspections, documentation, and warranty closeout.

The ideal candidate is confident in the field, detail-oriented with documentation, comfortable correcting installation issues, and trusted to own quality from specification through final warranty.

Key Responsibilities

• Support contractors from pre-job planning through final inspection and warranty issuance
• Lead job kick-offs, contractor training, and on-site technical support
• Perform mid-install and final inspections to ensure specifications and quality standards are met
• Identify installation issues and clearly communicate corrective actions
• Review adhesion tests, moisture scans, film thickness, and substrate conditions
• Document all job activity with photos, reports, and field notes
• Serve as the primary technical resource for contractors and internal teams
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience (coatings or liquid-applied systems required)
• Strong understanding of roof assemblies, surface prep, adhesion testing, and inspections
• Comfortable traveling and working independently in the field
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

• Experience with silicone, acrylic, polyurethane, or hybrid coating systems
• Background as a superintendent, QC manager, or manufacturer technical rep
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
