** Job Summary**
This position is with GRI Engineering and Development, LLC, a division of MAT Holdings, Inc. GRIE holds a significant market share of the aftermarket braking segment. Offering a complete line of brake rotors, drums, and friction components, GRIE has created a reputation for supplying high-quality finished components to the off-road and heavy-duty vehicle market. This position is responsible for training the automotive brake pad customers. We are currently looking for a high-energy, dynamic individual. You will be responsible for the territory including TN, AL, MS, AR, LA (territories subject to change).
Principle Responsibilities
Conduct technical training sessions at customer regional and national sales meetings and at trade-shows.
Attend ride-a-longs with customer commercial sales managers to promote and educate their customers on brake pads.
Present technical information on brake pads to a wide audience (both technical and non-technical). Audience size can vary from 20 - 100 people. The intent of the presentations is to educate the participants by providing technical information and fielding any questions related but not limited to, brake friction material, customer brake pad line differentiation, manufacturing, quality, and testing.
Responsible for problem-solving any customer issues relating to brake pad fit and/or function during customer visits.
Become familiar with the customer's commercial sales programs and promotions.
Responsible for ongoing relationship building with customers.
Extensive travel (up to 75%) to various locations across the US.
Planned and coordinated all training sessions/schedules with the customer training manager.
Attend yearly internal company training with corporate, R&D, and the company factories.
Issue weekly reports on customer visits on a timely basis, as well as participate in weekly team conference calls.
