CARA is seeking technical trainers to work onsite in Missouri for a 3 months contract with a Food Manufacturing client to deliver JD Edwards ERP training. As a technical trainer, you will engage with learners by leveraging training and adult learning techniques to support the client's ERP implementation.
Work Environment/Logistics
Trainers will be assigned to shifts.
Some shifts include overnight hours.
Onsite in St. Joseph, MO (1 hour outside of Kansas City, MO).
Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in train-the-trainer which will include teach backs to confirm proficiency and readiness to train others.
- Recommend and document training improvements during T3.
- Conduct end user training (combination of classroom based and shoulder-to-shoulder training)
- Collaborate with organizational change management (OCM) consultants to develop feedback forms or other mechanisms to gather end user feedback throughout training.
- Monitor and evaluate end user knowledge transfer and progress to proficiency.
- Identify end users who may need additional training or support through hypercare.
- Support identification of super users for a “Day-in-a Life” exercise.
- Track attendance and prepare daily progress reports.
- Continue documentation improvement recommendations in consolidated list.
- Conduct make-up training as needed under the direction of Training Manager and Scheduler.
- Collaborate with shift OCM consultant as needed to discuss feedback and potential resistance.
Qualifications:
- Training Delivery: Expertise in delivering complex systems processes to end users.
- Manufacturing Experience: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and challenges.
- System Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, MES, or PLM.
- Real-World Application: Able to relate practical applications within a manufacturing environment to end users.
- Effective Communications: Provide clear and concise explanations of complex concepts.
- Engaging Delivery: Able to maintain learner interest and attention.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and address challenges that arise during training.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Training may involve learners from diverse backgrounds, cultural sensitivity and respect is essential.
Duration: 3 months contract
Location: St. Joseph, MO (1 hour outside of Kansas City, MO)
