We are seeking an experienced technical writer to support a marketing team by creating high-quality white papers and related content. You'll work closely with a marketing director and internal engineers to produce materials that reflect their unique Linux-based systems and real-time simulation solutions.

10 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clear, compelling white papers tailored to both technical and executive-level audiences within the aerospace and defense sectors
- Transform complex engineering concepts into accessible, industry-relevant narratives
- Collaborate with the marketing director to develop creative briefs and content outlines
- Independently research and draft content based on outlines and occasional access to internal SMEs (engineers)
- Revise drafts based on feedback from the engineering team and marketing lead
- Maintain consistent tone, terminology, and accuracy across deliverables
- Occasionally support additional content needs such as case studies or technical marketing articles
Ideal Candidate:
- Background in aerospace or electrical engineering, or direct experience writing for those industries
- Proven experience writing technical white papers, preferably in simulation, embedded systems, Linux/Unix-based applications, or defense technology
- Comfortable writing with technical nuance for multiple audience types, from engineers to executive decision-makers
- Strong command of tone-shifting and the Oxford comma (yes, we care!)
- Excellent collaborator with the ability to take direction and align with an existing brand voice
- U.S.-based with availability for real-time collaboration in U.S. business hours (Eastern preferred but not required)
- Strictly no AI-generated content – all work must be 100% human-written and original
